New Moon will not film in Volterra. Instead it will film in Montepulciano. They probably chose to film here because of cost and accessibilty. I was looking forward to it being filmed in Volterra. I really hope Kristen doesn't screw up the Volterra scene like she did the hospital scene in twilight. I can just picture her studdering "ed-edward! do'don't do it! st-stop!" I've heard from the twilight Lexicon that, "It essentially says that despite meetings and enticements from the mayor and officials from Volterra, Summit has decided to film in Montepulciano. She states that she received this info from a Summit executive with whom she was having lunch." the Lexicon also said that, "The clock tower and plaza in Montepulciano (seen to the left)is a deadringer for the clock tower and plaza in Volterra. Interestingly enough, neither square has a fountain in the middle of it."
